Cork

Description
Cork is a tissue-like substance that surrounds many different kinds of trees. It is most commonly harvested by peeling off the bark from cork oaks that are planted in plantations in Spain and Portugal. The cork layer is usually between 5 and 15 cm thick, and can be "harvested" every 8 to 12 years.
